Our Mission

"Worshipping our God, Loving our Neighbor"
Southeast Valley Baptist Church exists for the purpose of glorifying God. (Ephesians 3:21). We are seeking to accomplish this purpose by our effort to complete four primary objectives:
- Worship (John 4:23) - a commitment to prayer, praise to and proclamation of God.
- Instruction (Ephesians 4:11-13) - A commitment to discipleship through expositional teaching and preaching of God’s Word.
- Fellowship (1 John 1:3) - A commitment to edifying one another through mutual accountability and encouragement.
- Evangelism (Matthew 28:19-20) - A commitment to see the gospel spread through home, cross-cultural and foreign missions.
We will pursue a Biblical balance between two important priorities (See example of Gaius in 3 John. See Ephesians 4:15):
- Being dedicated to the “Truth” of God’s Word, which is demonstrated by being a church of theological integrity and personal holiness.
- Being dedicated to “Love,” which is demonstrated by being a church that is characterized by hospitality, mercy, grace, forgiveness, and an unwillingness to allow any forms of gossip and/or disunity.
